I had an amazing 2 weeks of volunteer experience in Nepal, my only regrets is that I couldn’t stay longer. The induction I received and the Nepali language classes was really good and very useful. Teaching English to the monks has been a great experience. my coordinator takes good care of me and meets my volunteering needs, always checking on me from time to time making sure that everything is alright. I would like to thank everyone on the Nepal volunteering team for their hard work and hospitality, and for giving me a very rewarding and unforgettable experience of a life time. I hope to come back again one day.

I spent two weeks volunteering with WLS in Nepal and would not have changed a minute of it. It was a bit doubting, scary and difficult when I first move to my placement, but it soon it disappears and change to a life-changing, fulfilling and amazing experience. My placement was in an Orphanage for disadvantage children of Nepal and from the very start I felt welcomed and needed. There I met some inspiring members of staff and other fellow volunteer’s who put so much of their heart into caring for these children who maybe have no one else to love them. I learnt a lot through the experience and am more aware now of the problems faced daily by many people in Asia. Volunteering in Nepal has changed my life and is an experience I will never forget.

I had a really nice time in Nepal, I learned a lot about the culture and people. Nepal was actually starting to feel like home. The people and children in the orphanage we’re very nice to me and I loved doing things with them. If I had a problem there was always someone at the office whom I can call and help me. Thanks for the great time in Nepal.

I spent my 2 weeks in Kathmandu in an orphanage doing the child care and medical health program. It was an amazing experience I ever had. I worked with other volunteers, I found new friends, shared laughs and the best things is getting to know the children and helping to take care of their daily needs. I was a little anxious in the beginning but it soon disappeared the kids are lovely and are so open to anyone who comes to meet them, the coordinators are always there to help me and sort out any problems that I encountered. My two weeks runs so fast and I regret I didn’t stay longer.

I had a great time! Orphanage was tough for the first day but when you start to get used to your work and the kids, and the lack of hygiene, you will have the best of your life! The family at the orphanage was very welcoming and treats you as one of the family member, they are sweet, kind and caring, and it’s very hard for me to leave. I think this program was the best options for people who want o know more of the country in a very simple and organized way. I found and made many new friends. My stay in Nepal was one of my best month ever!!!

My experience with WLS Intenational in Nepal was positive in many ways. The staff is comprised of great people who are fun to work with from beginning till the end. The projects are well arranged, also very interesting and inspiring. My volunteer work was teaching English to the Buddhist monks in Kathmandu. It was fascinating to live among them and experience their lifestyle and traditions - both of which were completely unknown to me before my time in Nepal. In the past 3 weeks I learned and experience so may beautiful things, memories that will forever be remembered. Thank you for making this once in a lifetime experience happen. If you're coming to Nepal, take some time to volunteer. it greatly enriches the experience and one's knowledge of Nepal & its people.

My volunteering time with WLS Nepal program was very enjoyable; I loved the feeling that the atmosphere was very relaxed & friendly. It‘s an eye opening and taught me to appreciate simple things in life like clean clothes, toilets and shower,
Communication, volunteer maintenance & support by local country coordinator’s was great and its very good to know that we can call whenever there is a problem & that always resolved quickly.
Working with woman, children at the orphanage and monastery all been challenging in their own way but the satisfaction gained by overcoming all challenge is not something anyone can experience every day. I had an amazing time and unforgettable experience in Nepal and promise to visit again. Thank you J

I had such a wonderful time in WLS-Nepal program, with very welcoming volunteer program coordinators. I immediately felt welcome & comfortable. Volunteering here was an experience I will always treasure and learn from and while at time it was challenging, but the smiles at the end of the day was so rewarding & it made it worthwhile, knowing that though small- I have made a difference to the placements and to the people I was working with. For me Nepal has become one of my favorite places & that wouldn’t have been possible without my volunteering experience & the people behind it, the friendship I build with them throughout my two months stay was great! Thank you for the amazing experience of a lifetime.

Traveling to Nepal was the very first time I was in Asia. So I did not have any clue what to expect. My volunteer training orientation goes well and very informative. The first time I stood in front of the class I was a bid nervous, English is not my native language so teaching it was going to be a challenge. It was hard to communicate with the younger kids, but most of the older kids understand and speak English. Having conversation outside of class with the older kids was one of the greatest moments of the volunteering. They would ask you a thousand questions about your live and favorite football player.
I also had some good conversations with the monks head master, he was really friendly and helpful. The support from the monastery staff and from the country host organization was excellent. The whole experience was a big eye-opener and really fulfilling. My goodbye was much harder than I expected and I still think back many times about all the wonderful moments I had on my Nepal Experience.

My Volunteering time in Nepal at the monastery was a number of things- Tiring, challenging, fascinating but above all I absolutely love every second of my time. The monks are incredibly kind, generous and very welcoming. The staffs in country host organization were some of the loveliest people I ever encountered, they are very helpful, friendly and kind a kindness shall never ever be forgotten in my days on earth. I had an amazing time in Nepal and I will never forget that experience in my life. My whole 4 weeks was really fantastic. It was rewarding to teach the kids, and to watch them learn and progress. I had heaps of fun playing various games with them, and running around with them, they're really lively and very energetic! It was a great opportunity volunteering in Nepal and I got the chance to meet a lot of different people and experience Nepali culture in my free time. It was a really meaningful experience that I want to repeat in the future!
