Volunteer Program in India

Very few countries can compete with India when it comes to diversity. Whether we are talking land formation, religion or spirituality, India surely ranks one of the highest in the world. Volunteering is a unique way to discover the country, its culture and people whilst doing meaningful volunteering work. Our volunteer program in India is a great experience with different projects available in Delhi, Rajasthan, Dharamsala and Palampur.

The Program

You can start the program on any date of your choice throughout the year. At the beginning of the program you will be picked up from the airport in New Delhi or from the airport or bus station in the other locations. You will then be taken to your accommodation. After that you will be introduced to your projects to start your volunteering.

We offer great flexibility to our volunteers. Our volunteer program in India starts on any date of your choice throughout the year. You can join the program from 1 week up to 24 weeks.

All meals are included in the program. There are 3 meals per day. For accommodation you will stay in a homestay, at the project or in a guesthouse depending on the project where you will be volunteering, sharing a room with other volunteers.

Program Location

There are four locations available : Delhi, Jaipur, Dharamsala and Palampur.

New Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern. The capital city, Delhi, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries and gardens.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan known as “pink city” is a part of Golden triangle (Delhi-Jaipur-Agra). This is also renowned for the land of Rajputs, a group warriors controlled this part since the medieval periods. This is truly exotic and colorful land. The city consists of forts and palaces, making one of the best destinations to explore in India.

Dharamsala is a hill station in Himachal Pradesh, famed for its large Tibetan community centered around the Dalai Lama. When the Dalai Lama fleed Tibet during the Chinese occupation of Tibet, he walked through the Himalayas and ended up in Dharamsala, and this is where he has been living in exile ever since. The scenery is spectacular in Dharamsala. Take a walk through the mountains and breathe in some cool, fresh air.

Palampur is a fascinating green hill station and a municipal council in the Kangra Valley in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, surrounded on all sides by tea gardens and pine forests before they merge with the Dhauladhar ranges. Palampur is the tea capital of northwest India but tea is just one aspect that makes Palampur a special interest place.

volunteer testimonial

It was one of the most rewarding experience for me. Originally the volunteering was for my own satisfaction of giving back to the community but when I saw how much it meant to the kids to interact with us, learn & play, it made the experience much more satisfying. The local coordinator was very helpful in arranging our transportation and to see to our other comfort.
