At WLS International we want to help you make the best choices for your volunteer experience abroad. Obviously you will have a lot of questions about us and the programs we offer. • Tell me more about the WLS International?
  WLS International has been operating for 5 years and is a fully registered company in London, UK. We fully focus on Asia and we are currently offering volunteer placements in Cambodia, China, Nepal, India, Thailand and Vietnam. We fully organize our own programs (except for India and Nepal where we have excellent partners) with our own WLS staff at each location coordinating our programs and supporting our volunteers.

Are there discounted fees for groups?
Group programs and discounted rates are available for more than two volunteers. Contact us for more details.

Are program fees subject to change?
When you apply, we will email you your acceptance to the program together with a price quotation, when you accept this offer by paying your deposit within 2 months from that date then your program fee will remain unchanged, even if the fees might change on the website during this time.

Do I need travel insurance?
As with any overseas traveling, insurance is highly recommended.

Can I combine WLS International placements in Asia?
Yes you can combine placements in our different locations in Asia. This is an example of how you can combine our programs: Fly into Bangkok and book a cheap flight online with Airasia.com to Ho Chi Minh City. Join our program in Ho Chi Minh City and at the end fly back to Bangkok. Again book a cheap flight with Airasia.com to Chiang Mai and join our program there. This is just one of the several combinations you can do.

Are there any age restrictions?
The minimum age is 17, unless you are accompanied by an adult.

Do I have to be from the UK?
No, our volunteers come from all over the world. We have volunteers from all over the world with the majority coming from the US, UK and Australia. We also have volunteers from Belgium, Holland, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and other countries

Can I be placed with a friend?
Yes, we can organize your program and accommodation together with your friend.

When can I start?
With WLS International you can start on any date of your choice throughout the year.

When should I apply?
Try to apply as far ahead as possible. Late applications are welcome. Click here for details on how to book.

What age ranges take part in these projects?
Volunteers are welcome between the ages of 17 and 75. The majority of our volunteers are between 18 and 35 years old, but we have many volunteers of different ages.

What qualifications do I need?
No qualifications are necessary. Volunteers are expected to be flexible and patient as well as possess a passion and love for children.

Do I need the local language?
Most volunteers do not speak the local language. It is an advantage to learn a few basic phrases but it is certainly not necessary.

Can I fundraiser for this project?
Of course you can, let us know if you need any assistance.

What is the support like overseas?
We believe our support at our destinations is excellent, just check our testimonies to see what our customers said.. We have full-time staff in each destination. It is their job to set up and coordinate your placement, check out your accommodation, meet you at the airport and provide you with any support you need..

Will I be met at the airport?
Volunteers are met at the airport by our coordinator at your destination.
